Two dozen native eating places and bars (together with a bakery and a brewery) are participating as companions in Move the Peas Week (see full record under).

On Friday, Nov. 11, the week culminates with the Move the Peas Dinner, led by chef Serigne Mbaye of Dakar NOLA, on the Southern Meals and Beverage Museum (1504 O.C. Haley Blvd.), adopted by an after half at Resort St. Vincent in its Chapel Membership.

Mbaye was a finalist for a James Beard award in 2022. For the dinner, he’ll be joined by MiNO alumi cooks to serve a multi-course meal showcasing his mix of culinary influences from Senegal and New Orleans. The family-style meal consists of cocktails and wine pairings introduced by Turning Tables, one other New Orleans group working in fairness in hospitality.

The dinner begins at 6 p.m. and tickets are $300.
